- What is the BOOST Bash?
It’s a fundraiser and much more! In addition to live and silent auctions, there will be opportunities to say thank you to our teachers and to see some of the great things going on in our classrooms.
- How can I support BOOST?
Come to this yearly event on April 1st at the the Greene County Fairgrounds Clover Hall! If you’re not able to attend, you can bid online for silent auction items during the event. You can also be a sponsor for the event or just make a donation.
- When/where is the event?
The Greene County Schools BOOST event will be held Saturday, April 1st, 2023 and the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. Doors open at 5:00pm, Dinner starts at 6:30pm.
- Where does the money go?
All proceeds from this event will directly impact our students and classrooms. The Greene County BOOST committee works directly with teachers to identify high impact projects and to create teacher grant opportunities.

- Why are you doing this event?
We believe a strong community needs to have a strong school system, and this event is a way for our community to show our support for all of the good things that our teachers and students are doing in the classrooms day in day out. This event will be a celebration of the good things happening in classrooms, a big thank you to our educators, and an opportunity for our community to provide financial support for continued success at Greene County Schools.
- Who is organizing this event?
This is a 100% community driven effort. The Greene County BOOST steering committee consists of the following individuals from across Greene County:
Danille Curtis, Chris Deal, Tracy Deal, Julie Karber, Steve Karber, Abby McConnell, Pat Richards, Jan Scharingson, Beth Vander Wilt, Jenny Wessling, Matt Wetrich, & Toni Wetrich.
In addition to the steering committee members, there are numerous others throughout the community who are actively helping with event planning and supporting this exciting endeavor.
- How are the funds distributed?
The Greene County BOOST steering committee has a sub-committee that will identify funding priorities and review teacher grant applications after the event.
- How do we know where the money ends up?
Fundraising totals and allocations will all be posted on the BOOST website.
- Who do I make out checks to?
Checks can be made out to Greene County Educational Foundation. Please put BOOST in the memo line so we can identify the donation appropriately. You can also donate online at our website.
- What if I have a specific funding request?
We will let supporters know exactly where funds raised through the BOOST event go. If you, however, have a large, specific request, please reach out directly to the Greene County Educational Foundation.
