Bringing Optimism & Opportunity to Students & Teachers
It’s a fundraiser and much more! In addition to live and silent auctions, there will be opportunities to say thank you to our teachers and to see some of the great things going on in our classrooms.
Come to the inaugural event on March 24th at the Wild Rose Casino! If you’re not able to attend, you can bid online for silent auction items during the event. You can also make a donation at any time at our website.
The inaugural Greene County Schools BOOST event will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 and the Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. Doors open at 5:00pm, Dinner starts at 6:30pm. (Gluten-free & Vegan Options are available)
All proceeds from this event will directly impact our students and classrooms. The Greene County BOOST committee is working directly with teachers to identify high impact projects and to create teacher grant opportunities.
Yes. The Greene County Schools BOOST is affiliated with the Greene County Educational Foundation and, because of this, all donations are 100% tax deductible.
We believe a strong community needs to have a strong school system, and this event is a way for our community to show our support for all of the good things that our teachers and students are doing in the classrooms day in day out. This inaugural event will be a celebration of the good things happening in classrooms, a big thank you to our educators, and an opportunity for our community to provide financial support for continued success at Greene County Schools.
This is a 100% community driven effort. The Greene County BOOST steering committee consists of the following individuals from across Greene County:
Randy Christensen, Chris Deal, Tracy Deal, Julie Karber, Steve Karber, Abby McConnell, Adam Pedersen, Pat Richards, Jan Scharingson, Jenny Wessling, Matt Wetrich, & Toni Wetrich.
In addition to the steering committee members, there are numerous others throughout the community who are actively helping with event planning and supporting this new, exciting endeavor.
The Greene County BOOST steering committee has a sub-committee that will identify funding priorities prior to the event and review teacher grant applications after the event.
Fundraising totals and allocations will all be posted on the BOOST website.
Checks can be made out to Greene County Educational Foundation. Please put BOOST in the memo line so we can identify the donation appropriately. You can also donate online at our website.
We will let supporters know exactly where funds raised through the BOOST event go. If you, however, have a large, specific request, please reach out directly to the Greene County Educational Foundation.
